Raymond "Ray" Haynes

He was born June 15, 1950 in Peoria, to Joseph and Daphna (Leeper) Haynes. He married Cheryl Ross May 28, 1970 in Peoria. She preceded him in death in 2008. His parents and one son, Michael also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his four children, Andrea (Jeremy) Koontz of Portland, TN., Katrina Haynes, Joshua Haynes and Zachary Haynes all of Glasford; five grandchildren, Austin (Aiyanna), Alana, Gavin, Shaylynn and Katelynn; two sisters, Marcia (Roger) Smallwood of Glasford and Robyn (Francisco) Alanis of Metamora, and one brother, Christopher (Tiffany) Haynes of Bartlett, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray served in the U.S. Army and worked as an electrician for Caterpillar Inc. for over 40 years before retiring. He was a member of Lancaster Masonic Lodge # 106 A.F. & A.M., Glasford American Legion Post # 35 and the U.A.W. Local 974. Ray had a great love for his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and just being in the outdoors.

A visitation will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. A funeral service will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
