

Born on January 1, 1961 in Pekin, she was the daughter of Floyd Murel and Ruby Ellen (Holliday) Benefield. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Clifford Lee Thomas; two sisters, Alice McClanahan, Wanda Merritt and one brother, Carlis Ray Benefield.
Surviving are two sisters, Charlotte Kay Turner and Linda Jane Agee, both of Pekin; sixteen nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Becky dedicated her career to serving others. She worked as a bus monitor for the City of Pekin, where she loved being with the children. Her caring nature extended beyond, and she also served as a caregiver through Community Care and ADDUS.
She found joy in sewing, creating many blankets, and she also loved to crochet and make quilts. Her creative talents were well-known among her family and friends.
Becky was a member of ReachPoint Worship Center in Pekin, contributing to her community with her faith and kindness.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Jonathan Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. Innurnment will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
