Richard Crone

Richard Crone, 70, of Pekin passed away at 8:29 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his home. He was born February 15, 1941 in Macomb to George and Goldie (Seins) Crone and was raised by his father and stepmother, Margaret (Elting) Crone. They have all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his baby brother, Kenny Dale Crone. He married Cheryl Ebbert, but they were later divorced. They had four children, Todd Allen (Debbie) Crone of Elizabeth City, N.C., Brian (Stephanie) Crone of Pekin, John "J.T." (Diane) Toland of Macomb and Nichole Lynne Crone of Phoenix, Arizona. He later built a relationship with Jeni Gosnell, starting in 1985 to the present. They have a daughter together, Karessa Justine Crone of Pekin; and he adopted Chelsey Mae Crone of Pekin. He leaves behind siblings, Art (Gay) Crone of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Gary (Naomi) Crone of Des Moines, Washington, Nancy King of Irving, Texas, and Mary Jane (Jim) Friday of Colchester, Ill. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jordan Crone of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jason and Kody Crim of Pekin; and many nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends, who all loved him very much. Richard loved NASCAR and was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt. He also loved camping, fishing and playing cards with loved ones. Special loves of his life were his family. He recently attended New Life Church in Pekin and was saved just this last Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. David Lewis will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to his family.
