

Born August 11, 1926 in Cicero to James and Mae (Bouska) Voller, he married Doris Meisenhelder on February 9, 1952 in Chenoa.
Surviving are his wife; 1 son, James (Barbara) Voller of Green Valley; 2 daughters, Vicki (Keith) Winter of Wheaton, and Kim (Kevin) Walsh of Shreveport, Louisiana; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Donald Voller of Laguna Hills, California; and a step-sister, Lorraine (Paul) Lubencov of Sun City, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 step-sister, Dorothy (Miles) Huml.
Richard served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He operated Dr. Richard Voller Optometry in Pekin for over 50 years.
Dr. Voller was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pekin for many years.
He was a former member and past president of the Pekin Lions Club and was a former member of Pekin Elks Lodge #1271.
He enjoyed bowling, golf, spending time with his family, and traveling, especially in the Caribbean and the Ozarks.
Dr. Voller's funeral will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Thomas R. Wenndt will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
