Rickie Austin Hunt

He was born April 14, 1957 in Peoria to Richard and Mary “Carolyn” (Madden) Hunt. He married Linda Schlag on Aug. 20, 1977 in East Peoria. She survives along with his mother and step-father, Carolyn (Charles) Bruce of Washington, one daughter, Jennifer Hunt of Pekin, two sons: Eric Schlag of Pekin, Jerrid (Monica) Hunt of Washington, three grandchildren: Samantha, Madi, Xander, one sister, Ronda (Lester) Davidson, and three brothers: Ryan Cassidy, David (Vicki) Cassidy and Ray (Christine) Cassidy.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Rickie was a United States Marine veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He worked out of Laborers 231out of Pekin. He was a member of the North Pekin AMVETS, Marine Corps League, and was a Mason. Rickie enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services with Military Honors will be 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Marine Corps League.
