Pekin ~ Ricky Eugene Johnson, 54, of 1724 St. Clair Drive, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born January 23, 1954 in Pekin to Charles and Phyllis (Koch) Johnson, he married Kathie Bearce on March 27, 1993 in Canton. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Phyllis (Sam) Wrigley of Morton; step-mother, Venetta Kay Johnson of Dixon; one daughter, Cassie Jean (Justin) Murray of North Pekin; one step-son, Brandon Mark (Amy) Carroll of Mapleton; one grandson, Jackson Mark Carroll of Mapleton; one half brother, Jason Wrigley of Peoria; and one step-sister, Lori (David) Rolling of Pekin. His father preceded him in death. Ricky was a car salesman at Ray Dennison Chevrolet in Pekin. He previously had worked as the general manager for Coleman Ford in Canton, and as a sales manager for Coleman Pontiac Buick. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Farmington Moose Lodge #1571. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf, and was a Green Bay Packers fan. Ricky attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. His memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. There will be no visitation. Cremation was accorded.
