Rob Eugene Stewart

Born on March 5, 1964 in Pekin to Byron G. and Edda J. (Todd) Stewart Sr., he married Terri Weaver on November 6, 1993. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents; one daughter, Sarah (Jacob) Pettit of East Peoria; one son, Jacob Stewart of Pekin; one grandson, Leland Pettit of East Peoria; four sisters-in-law, DJ Stewart, Shirley Weaver, Shelia Weaver, all of Pekin and Patty (Brad) Bradley of Indiana; one brother-in-law, Wayne (Debbie) Weaver of Pekin and his beloved dog, Daisy.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Byron Stewart Jr. and his twin brother, Bobby Stewart.

Rob worked at Samaritan Ministries of Peoria as the mail room manager and previously worked at Sears in the Paint Department for 17 years.

He enjoyed photography and always enjoyed taking pictures of people and his surroundings, including his food. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making everyone laugh. Rob loved people and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed collecting flashlights.

Everyone that knew Rob would consider him a foodie. He took great pride in his work and in everything he did. He also loved shopping with his wife and recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at Disney World.

Rob was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Pekin.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Randy Justus will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
