Born December 31, 1937 in Glasford to Elmer and Catherine Marie (Bevard) Hinderliter, he married Joyce A. Primm on June 22, 1957.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Joyce; three children, Russell (Paula) Hinderliter and Robyn (Nick) Rindfleisch, both of Glasford and Rodney (Kathy) Hinderliter of Towanda; three grandchildren, Brent (Haley) Hinderliter and Hunter and Tanner Rindfleisch and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Jane Hinderliter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randall; one daughter, Rhonda and two brothers, Donald and Roland “Dean” Hinderliter.
Bob retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1991 after 35 years of service, with the later 15 years working in research at the Mossville Plant. Following retirement, Bob worked with his sons in the pool business.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and traveling the country in his motorhome.
Bob was a member of Glasford Baptist Church, where he actively served.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bob’s caretakers from Vitas Hospice Team and Synergy Home Care Team, who were all greatly loved by Bob.
His visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Guidelines regarding social distancing and wearing of masks will be followed. Private family services will follow. Pastors Dan Pugh and Steve Weber will officiate.
