Robert G Brabson

Born July 25, 1951 in Peoria to Charles Robert and Ina Mae (Staley) Brabson, he married Barbara Fry in January 1973 in Pekin.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Sandy Foster of East Peoria; four sons, Jeff (Angela) Brabson of Bartonville, Jason (Kenna) Brabson of Homosassa, Florida, Josh (Amanda) Brabson of East Peoria and Jeremy Brabson of Pekin; one daughter, Telah (Jason) Mackel of Peoria; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, William Brabson of Toulon, Roger Brabson and Forrest Brabson, both of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Robert had worked as a roofer for nearly 20 years, last working for Bohm & Sons in North Pekin.

He had previously been a member of the Farmington Sportsmen’s Club, and enjoyed fishing in Peabody Lakes.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

The family will host a celebration of life gathering at 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Journey Church, 118 Glen Oak Street in East Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur is assisting the family with arrangements.
