Robert L. "Bobby" Potter

Born August 25, 1953 in Peoria to Charles M. and Della (Roberts) Potter, he married Rita Wagle. He later married Kim Clark on May 7, 2005 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Angie Potter of Pekin; three sons, Josh (Meg) Potter of Olathe, Kansas, Jason (Dawn) Potter of Bartonville, and Jake Potter of Pekin; one step-son, Danny Clark of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; and four brothers, Donnie (Ann) Potter and David (Kathy) Potter, both of Pekin, Timmy (Janice) Potter of Topeka 2450 North, and Chucky (Vickie) Potter of Glasford.

His parents preceded him in death.

Bobby worked for Brookmeadow Apartments in Pekin for 28 years, last working in April 2008 as the maintenance supervisor. He previously worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for several years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869 in Pekin. He was a former member and deacon of Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur.

Bobby enjoyed playing pool and video poker. He was an avid Saint Louis Cardinal's baseball fan.

His memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be two hours before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
