

PEKIN ~ Robert Lee Rauch, 67, of 1217 Henrietta Street, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at his home.Born February 6, 1939 in Isabel Township, Fulton County to Ralph Orville and Iva Mildred (Hainlaine) Rauch, he married Betty Mills. He later married Ramona M. Benton on August 22, 1975 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert Lee Rauch, Jr. and Randy Lynn Rauch, both of Nashville, Arkansas; two daughters, Shawnee M. Coburn of Hazard, Kentucky and Andrianna Rodriguez of the state of Washington; two step-daughters, Terri Jo (Gordon) Cody of Richmond, Kentucky and Monica E. (Jeffrey) Adams of Bartonville; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Lyle (Arlene) Rauch of Delavan and Cecil (Arlene) Rauch of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina; one sister, Della (Burl) Hensley of Pekin; two half-brothers, Owen Rauch and Orville Rauch; and friend, Jack Rawson of South Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers.
A United States Navy veteran, he served from February 15, 1956 to December 15, 1959.
Robert worked 10 years for O'Neal Brothers Transporting Company in Morton, retiring in 2003. Previously, he worked as a machinist at Caterpillar, Inc.
Bob was a retired member of Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union Local 627 in Peoria.
Of the Christian faith, Bob loved to study God's word. He enjoyed fishing.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006at Grace Baptist Church, 1400 Derby Street in Pekin. The Rev. Randy Justus will officiate. His body will be donated to medical science.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
