

Born August 25, 1959 in Pekin to Robert Henry and Phyllis (Holmes) Reiling, Jr., he married Donna Scott on April 11, 1997 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Sonya (Greg) Canary of Pekin; one son, Zachary Reiling of Pekin; three grandchildren, Brady (Autumn) Canary of Pekin, Bryce Canary of Bloomington and Brandee (Joseph) Binder of Pekin; his great-grandson, Theodore “Teddy” Binder, who he was especially fond of; one brother, Rick (Melissa) Reiling of Mexico; one brother-in-law, Phillip (Melody) Scott of Pekin; three sisters-in-law, Sue (Jim) Fletcher, Debbie (Randy) Benton and Karen (Chris) Lewis, all of Pekin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brandon Scott Newcomb on June 25, 1998; his in-laws, LD and Irene Scott and a sister-in-law, Joann Scott.
Bob retired from the City of Pekin in 2018 after many years of service as their fleet mechanic. He also owned and operated Performance Automotive in Pekin for 47 years, retiring from that business earlier this year.
He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed fishing. He took great pride in his yard and just enjoyed being outdoors. Bob was a member and past president of the Central Illinois Strutting Gobblers and the National Wild Turkey federation. Bob was fond of all animals and loved his dog, Trixie.
His celebration of life gathering will be held at the Pekin Moose Lodge on November 14th, 2025 from 5-10 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
