Robert E Robinson

Born May 14, 1932 in Washburn to Eugene L. and Thelma B. (Ross) Robinson, he married Patty Ann Risen on October 24, 1953 in Manito.  She passed away on March 20, 2010.  He also was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are one son, Timothy (Donna) Robinson of Toledo, Ohio; one daughter, Brenda (Greg) Dean of Tremont; five grandchildren, Tara Robinson, Tina Robinson, Keith Robinson, Chet Dean and Carson Dean; one sister, Carole (Tom) Carruthers of California; and one brother, James (Arlene) Robinson of Nebraska.

Bob was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family.  He enjoyed traveling to places that were special to him.

He had owned and operated Robinson Construction in California for 15 years, retiring in 1994.  He previously had worked for Pekin Farmers Grain Elevators for 18 years.

His memorial service will be at noon Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
