

He was born December 8, 1958 in Peoria to Robert Jay, Sr. and Patricia Ruth (Lynn) Workman. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one infant sister, Terry Kay Workman.
Surviving are one daughter, Nicole Marie of Peoria; three sisters, Marsha L. Wagner, Tammie R. Workman, both of Pekin and Jeanna M. (Donald) Snedden of Manito; three nephews, David Wagner of South Pekin, Codie Snedden of Manito and Daven Workman of Eddyville and three nieces, Teri Fouts of Eddyville, Kayla Fouts of Pekin and Kiera Rhoades of North Pekin.
"Rupe" had worked for the American Distilling Company in Pekin and for DMI in Goodfield. He last worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad.
He enjoyed writing and listening to country music. He especially enjoyed painting.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
His memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
