Robin Marie Chance

Born April 1, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas to John and Vonna (Denny) Rogers, she married Kenny L. Chance on November 13, 1976 in Marquette Heights. He survives.

Also surviving are five children, Brandi (Brian) Lair of East Peoria, Casey (Jenna) Chance of Peoria, Kassi Simerly, Kyle (Jessica) Chance and Carley Chance, all of Marquette Heights; many foster children including, Bobby Danner of Pekin, Britney (Junior) Guzman of Canton and Talia Beghtol; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her step-mother, Betty Hill of Marquette Heights; two brothers, Ronnie (Peggy) Rogers of Oklahoma and Johnnie Rogers of Arizona and four sisters, Kimberly Rogers of Marquette Heights, Tina (Joseph) DeRosa of Creve Coeur, Genie (Robert) Galleger of Piney Flats, Tennessee and Dianna (Mark) Frost of Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Edd Hill, who helped raise her; one daughter, Kelly Chance; one brother, Rick McIntosh and one sister, Peggy Break.

Robin had the heart of a caregiver, and in addition to fostering children with her husband, worked as a CNA for more than 20 years, retiring in 2018 from Morningside in Washington.

She loved taking care of and spending time with her family. She also loved her coffee time and cigarettes. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds along with cooking, gardening, and shopping.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Brian Currier will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
