

Born January 21, 1939 in North Pekin to William Rockford and Marjorie Maxine (Brown) Faichney, he married Shirley Mae (Neel) Keyes on February 14, 1975 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Marjorie Faichney of Farmington; one daughter, Jill (Eldon) Pulfer of Green Valley; one step-daughter, Tamala (Doug) McMillion of Hopedale; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom (Donna) Faichney of Pekin and Bill (Rosemary) Faichney of North Pekin. He also leaves a long-time friend, Jon Pallmer of Spokane, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his father, one son (Eric Faichney), one infant daughter (Rena Faichney).
Ronnie was a 1957 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
He served in the United States Army from January 29, 1958 to January 28, 1960.
Ronnie worked for the Peoria & Pekin Union Railway in Creve Coeur for 43 years, retiring in 2001 as a foreman. He also worked out of Laborers Local #231 in Pekin for George McLeod Masonry in Pekin.
He was a member of Pekin Moose Family Center #916 since 1977 and was a life member of George Maple Memorial AMVETS Post #235 in Pekin.
Ronnie enjoyed fishing and bowling.
His funeral will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Jim Ackerman will officiate and a flag folding ceremony will be conducted by the United States Army. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
