Sally Jo Shallenberger

Born June 20, 1950 in Pekin to Harry and Wanda (Swingle) Martin, she married Robert Lee Brown. She later married Clarence William Shallenberger on September 17, 1984. He died October 26, 2018 in Pekin.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are two daughters, Bobbi Bennett of West Peoria and Randi (Terry) Linton of Pekin; one son, Adam Brown of Glen Carbon; one stepdaughter, Stacey (Todd) Willock of Creve Coeur; six grandchildren, Beau Cunningham, Tesla Hale, Shelby Bennett, Miracle Brown, Keegan Brown and Travis Willock; six great-grandchildren and one brother, Harry (Mary) Martin of Pekin.

Sally retired from Pekin Hospital in 2015 after more than 30 years as a radiology technician.

She enjoyed watching movies on television and being close to home. She was devoted to her kids and loved animals

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. There will be no services or visitation at this time. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
