Sandra K Holmes

She was born on August 25, 1949 in Pekin to Robert Edmund and Phyllis Jean (Yentes) Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steve Holmes.

Surviving are one brother, Randy (Ronda) Holmes of Pekin; three nephews, Randy (Sabrina) Holmes, Jr. of Green Valley, Scott (Melanie) Holmes of Pekin, and Nicholas Holmes of Havana; one niece, Lindsay (Scott) Johnson of Bartonville; and six great-nieces and great-nephews, Rachelle Black, Randy Holmes, III, Kat Holmes, Sam Holmes, Trace Holmes, and Jonah Holmes. She also leaves behind three special family fur babies, Max, Toby and Ozzy.

Sandi was currently working at Pekin Insurance as a secretary in the claims department for over 15 years. Previously, she worked at Walden Book’s in the Pekin Mall as the manager until its closing.

Sandi enjoyed reading books and watching QVC. She was a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball fan.

Sandi will be remembered as generous person who loved her family and had a heart for animals.

A gathering celebrating her life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Pekin. Her family will lead a brief time of remembrance at 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the church. Food will also be served. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
