Seth B. Crowell

Born March 20, 1975 in Pekin, he was the son of Dennis Jay and Sue Ellen (Miller) Crowell.

Surviving are his parents, Denny and Sue Crowell of Pekin; his aunts, Christie (Dr. James) Steckelberg of Rochester, Minnesota and Gail (Bryan) Whitton of Pekin and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two uncles, Jon Miller and David Crowell.

A 1993 graduate of Pekin Community High School, Seth then attended and graduated from Ball State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and wellness.

He began his working career with Peoria Park District as their aquatics director for several years. He then found his niche working in the food service industry first with Kouri’s in Pekin where he was their night manager. He then worked at Jonah’s in East Peoria and later at the Harvest Café in Delavan. Seth made Delavan his home and loved working at The Farmhouse, last working on Saturday.

Seth was a person of faith and always looked forward to the Christmas holiday celebrated as family. He was an avid golfer and a faithful fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed fantasy football.

His celebration of life gathering will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at The Farmhouse in Delavan. A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Eric N. Swanson will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
