Born March 12, 1966 in Shelbyville, Tennessee to Roger and Margaret (Howard) Taylor, she married Jimmy Towery in 1998 in Pekin. They have spent the last 31 years together until her passing.
Also surviving are her mother, Margaret Taylor of Pekin; two daughters, Rachel (Joshua) Burch and Ashley Taylor, both of Pekin; four grandchildren, Jordan, Callie, Kevin and Harper and three sisters, Angie, Tammy and Roginger.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
A homemaker, Sherry loved listening to music, singing and dancing. She also enjoyed fishing, writing poetry and above all else spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin with burial immediately following at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
