Born August 31, 1985 in Spokane, Washington to Eugene Groo and Angela Marrs, he married Ashley Medearis on May 15, 2021. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Grayson, Nathaniel and Lilly Groo; one brother, Brian Groo; and his father, Eugene Groo.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Marrs.
Stephen worked as a service technician at Gem City Tire in East Peoria, and he loved the work he did.
He loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
