Thomas W Crawford

Born July 2, 1928 in Franklin County to Walter and Edith (Dillon) Crawford, he married Noreen H. Otterson on February 8, 1950 in Benton. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Donald G. Crawford and Larry R. (Gloria) Crawford, both of Pekin; two grandsons, Jason R. (Shannon) Crawford of Pekin and Jesse R. (Stephanie) Crawford of Edina, Missouri; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth L. Crawford of Pekin; and two sisters, Mary Cockrum and Letha Rich, both of Benton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son (Mark J. Crawford on June 7, 1984), and two brothers (Clarence Crawford and Jess Crawford).

Tom worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1986 as a core setter at the Mapleton Foundry.

He was a member of First Assembly of God in Pekin and the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

Tom enjoyed his walks in Cole Miner's Park in Pekin, traveling, and listening Southern gospel music.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Quinn McKenzie and Rev. David Carrington will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
