

Born August 17, 1955 in Pekin to Harold and Marcelle Jean (Thomas) Cross, he married Katheryn E. Allcock on December 14, 1990 in Pekin. She survives.Also surviving are his father and step-mother, Harold and Esther Cross of Tremont; one son, Thomas A. Cross of Texas; three step-daughters whom he helped raise, Jamie S. (Jeremy) Haynes of Tremont, Brandy N. Munson of East Peoria and Christal D. Munson of Tremont; two granddaughters, Courtney Haynes and Makenna Haynes, both of Tremont and one brother, Ronald Cross of Tremont.Tom was preceded in death by his mother on March 22, 2006 in Pekin and one brother, Harold James Cross.A member of Laborers Local 231 in Pekin, Tom worked out of the union hall for many years, mainly for R.A. Cullinan & Son and for Ameren Cilco at their Duck Creek generating station, last working Saturday. Tom loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and also enjoyed fishing and bow hunting. He was an avid C.B.erwith thehandle"Shovel Head."His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Shane A. Hawkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery in rural Manito.Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God, 1209 North Parkway Drive, Pekin, IL 61554.
