Todd and Charlotte Brooks

Todd passed away at 1:08 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at Saint Mary's Medical Center Emergency Room in West Palm Beach, Florida. Charlotte passed away at 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at her home.

Todd was born February 12, 1963 in Peoria to Charles G. and Donna (Sims) Brooks. Surviving him are his father and step-mother, Charles and Kaye Brooks of Golconda; mother and step-father, Donna and Carl Jenkins of Bartlett, Tennessee; and five sisters, Tina (Terry) Rabenau of Peoria, Debbie (Todd) Emert of Pekin, Shelly (Ron) Kettle of Toulon, Michelle (Larry) Spitler and Jennifer (Chris) Tullos, both of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Dale Lutz.

Charlotte was born July 20, 1956 in Saint Joseph, Michigan to Harl and Erah Charlene (Caraway) Carrington. Surviving her are two brothers, Mike (Jayma) Carrington and Larry Carrington, both of California. Her parents preceded her in death.

Todd and Charlotte were married on December 20, 1989 in Peoria. Also surviving them are two sons, Allen Brooks of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Joshua Ragains serving in the Army in Japan.

Todd and Charlotte owned and operated Brooks Superior Home Care Maintenance in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and previously T & C Home Improvements in East Peoria. Todd served in the United States Air Force for 6 years and had also worked at Komatsu in Peoria for 14 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Jupiter, Florida.

Todd enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, and playing pool. Charlotte enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and crafts. They both enjoyed family, friends, and their dog, Haley.

Their funeral will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. The Rev. Bob Donaldson will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, where military rites will be accorded for Todd.
