Veronica K Foster

Born April 2, 1931 in Bloomingdale, New York to John and Evelyn (Griffin) Rolands, she married Dave Murphy on May 28, 1955 in Bloomington.  He passed away in July 1986 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She later married Paul T. "Bud" Foster on June 8, 1988 in Hannibal Missouri.  He survives.  

Also surviving are one son, Steven (Carolyn) Murphy of Seaford, Delaware; four daughters, Sandra (Larry) Dale of Creve Coeur, Donna (Robert) Burger of Metamora, Kathy (Jerry) Noel of Pekin and Teri Trovato of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Paul (Sandra) Foster of Morton and Gary (Donna) Foster of Missoula, Montana; twenty-six grandchildren; fifty-five great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her dog, Muffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, John W. Peckham; and two grandsons.

Veronica attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria.

She had worked several years as bookkeeper for Fredman Bros. Furniture Company in Peoria.

She was a member of the East Peoria American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit #983.  She also enjoyed playing shuffleboard at the Eagles Lodge #265 in Peoria.

Her memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.  Pastor Brock Winkler will officiate.  There will be no visitation.
