She was born March 23, 1958 in Peoria to Benjamin Franklin and Jeannie (Bishop) Peasley. Her father preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her son, William Benjamin Sarver.
Surviving are her mother, Jeannie Bishop Peasley of Port Orange, Florida; two sons, August E. Sarver of Pekin and Joshua James Smith of Keokuk, Iowa; two daughters, Victoria Fern (Jeff) Bernhal of Altamont and Amanda Jean Smith of Fort Madison, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Willis of East Peoria and John of Maine; and two sisters, Tammy Dresser of Port Orange, Florida, Lisa Babb of Fisher.
Vickie was a waitress and stay at home mother. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She also loved wildlife and animals and enjoyed junking and scrapping.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Elder Dale Pittenger will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with expenses.
