Vonna Emmons Anderson

Born May 31, 1930, she married Bert Emmons, Jr. on January 17, 1948. He died August 12, 1968 in Peoria. She then married Harold E. "Andy" Anderson on October 16, 1978. He died May 21, 1996 in Pekin.

Also surviving are one son, William (Phyllis) Emmons of Tremont; one daughter, Linda S. Maquet- Emmons of Pekin; three grandsons, Brian R. Maquet, Nicholas A. (Jessica) Maquet of Pekin and Robert R. Maquet of Pekin; and two great-granddaughters, Madisyn and Payton Grace.

Her parents and two husbands preceded her in death.

Vonna worked for Model Paint and Wallpaper, located at 5th and Court Streets from 1964 to 1971. She also worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for Formaloy Corporation in Morton from 1972 to 1982 and for Meyer Heating/Climate Control in Peoria, last working Monday.

Vonna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Rodger P. Abatie will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
