

He was born July 1, 1949 in Pekin to Robert and Sarah (Wallinger) McCreary.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Wendy K. McCreary.
Surviving are five sons, Jeremy McCreary, Josh McCreary, Jason McCreary, Jamie McCreary and Wally McCreary, all of Pekin; one daughter, Felicia McCreary of Pekin; seven grandchildren; one brother, Randy (Wanda) McCreary of North Carolina; and three sisters, Vicki (Tony) Corso of Manito, Roxanne Williams of Peoria, and Tami (Tom) Snyder of Collinsville; one Step-Sister, Rosanne Biga of Pekin; and one Step-Brother, Michael Biga of Pekin.
Wallace was a laborer, working out of the Iron Workers Union in East Peoria.
He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, fishing and building model cars.
Wallace was a veteran of the United States Army, and was proud of his service during the Vietnam War.
He was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008at War Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, where military rites will be provided by the United States Army and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
