Wayne J Wiseman

Born May 27, 1927 in Brumley, Missouri to William Riley and Tressie (Brumley) Wiseman, he married Orilla Louise Harms on December 3, 1949 in Green Valley. She died July 27, 2009 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Wiseman; one sister, Marie; and his step-father, Harry Greenwood, who helped raise him.

Surviving are one daughter, Sheryl Hickerson of Peoria Heights; one son, Wayne F. (Sandy) Wiseman of Green Valley; two grandchildren, Shimeha Volk and Jason Timian; two great-grandchildren, Cody Timian and Jared Timian; one brother, Basil Wiseman of Lebanon, Missouri; and two sisters, Lucille of New Iberia, Louisiana and Shirley (Dale) Rodden of Lebanon, Missouri.

Wayne began working for the Illinois Central Railroad in 1950 at Green Valley and retired in 1989 as a section hand from the Decatur yard. He previously worked in construction.

He enjoyed gardening, tinkering with things, and visiting with family and friends. Wayne was known for raising rabbits for many years.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
