

Born June 6, 1938 in Streator to Lotis Thomas and Marie (Kleaver) Kolesar, he married Gloria June Rogers November 13, 1965 in Streator. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela (Gary) Cooley of Washington and Jeanette (Ron) Wennmacher of Peoria; two sons, Jeffery (Elizabeth) Kolesar of Tacoma, Washington and Todd (Collette) Kolesar of Utah; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A 1956 graduate of Streator Township High School, Bill was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Bill worked at Caterpillar, Inc. at their Technical Center in Mossville as a research mechanic for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and took pride and enjoyed his yardwork.
His memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria. Father William T. Miller will officiate. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, where military rites will be accorded by the United States Air Force and Tazewell Military Rites Team. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
