

Born August 10, 1947 in Peoria, he married the love of his life, Paula Roberts on October 30, 1982 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Chris (Emily) Myers of Waxhaw, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Oliver, Lily Grace, Austin Myers of Waxhaw, North Carolina; and his beloved grand-dog, Cooper.
His father-in-law, William H. Roberts, preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Bill had worked for Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville as a wire drawer for 30 years, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, small engine repair, motorcycle riding, his Slingshot three wheeler, and cruise-in car shows with his 1979 Mustang. He loved spending time with his wife and sons family. Bill was dedicated to his and others sobriety for many years.
His visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A private memorial service will follow. Inurnment will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
