

Born April 11, 1942 in Bloomington to Carl E. and Bernice A. (Peterson) Goodlick, she married Raymond Earl Garber, Jr. on June 24, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Daniel (Sara) Garber of Manito; one daughter, Lori (Andy) Hoyle of Green Valley; six grandchildren, Josh Garber of Pekin, Kristen (Ryan James) Garber of Luebbering, Missouri, Jake Garber of Bloomington, Amber (Augi) Tudela of Manito, Nate Campbell of Rifle, Colorado and Brandi Campbell of Omaha, Nebraska; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one sister, Judy Kumpf of Hopedale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry Goodlick and Richard Goodlick and two sisters, Donna Alt and Mary Alice Kuntz.
A gifted seamstress, Wilma worked at the Toggery and Crown Cleaners, both in Pekin, for many years. Her favorite job was driving a school bus for Hoyle Transportation and the opportunity to drive her grandkids to and from Good Shepherd Lutheran School. Prior to her marriage, Wilma worked at Schipper and Block in downtown Pekin.
Wilma always put others first and loved to sew. She liked hand quilting, flowers and target shooting.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin. Pastor Daniel J. Bishop will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, and also from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Dillon Cemetery.
