Ashley Renea Down

Ashley, a graduate of Ouachita High School in Monroe, married Brian Wayne Down on June 22, 2020 in Bessemer, Alabama.

Ashley loved working at AOSS Medical Supply, Dave's, Foodland, and Harbor Freight. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with her children Cheyenne and Hunter, going to concerts, traveling, and playing with her pets.

Ashley is survived by her husband, Brian Down of Montevallo; her parents, Earl Houston of Montevallo and Susan Patton of West Monroe, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Debra McDill of Monroe; two children, Cheyenne Devereux and Hunter Devereux, both of Monroe; step-daughter, Veronica White of Monroe; step-granddaughters, Scarlet Harris and Chelsea Harris, both of Monroe; sister, Crystal Houston of West Monroe; brother, Richard Houston (Denise Houston) of Columbiana, Alabama; niece, Gabrielle Miller of West Monroe; and nephew, Kellen Houston of Columbiana.

Also cherishing memories of Ashley are her father- and mother-in-law, Wayne and Loreen Down of Monroeville, New Jersey; grandmother-in-law, Patricia Carr of Newfield, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Kristin Scully (William Scully) of Monroeville; niece, Charlotte Scully of Monroeville; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ashley's family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, Louisiana.
