BARRON CECIL BOWMAN, 70, of Hoover, Ala and native of Opp, Ala, lost his battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was an extraordinary and selfless man who spent his life taking care of those whom he loved. He is pre-deceased by his father Albert C. Bowman and his mother Inez Bowman, and brother Bobby P. Bowman. He is survived by his wife Jeri Bowman, his only Daughter Melanie Hamrac and her husband Russell Hamrac, his five sons Christopher Bowman and his wife Jeannie Bowman, Joey Bartgis and his wife Jennifer Bartgis , Mathew Bartgis, Evan Bowman , and Seth Bowman and his wife Karrie Bowman. His 6 grandchildren: Caitlin Hamrac, Ryan Hamrac, Christopher Bowman, Curtis Bowman, Tanner Bartgis, and soon to be born Anna Barron Bowman who will be named in honor of her grandfather. He is also survived by his brother Dr. Raymond N. Bowman. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 8, from 5-7 p.m at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be at the same place Thursday June 9 at 3 p.m. Burial will be at his hometown in Opp, Alabama at Peaceful Acres Memorial Cemetery Friday June 10 at 11 a.m.
