Bernice, a graduate of Brookwood High School, married Ernest R. Young on June 26, 1943. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
A member of the Baptist Church of McAdory in McCalla, AL, Bernice is survived by her husband, Ernest; two sons, Phil Young and Jerry Young; three grandsons, Aaron Young, Andy Young, and Jeremy Young; three great-grandchildren, Alexa Young, Sophia Young, and Simeon Young; and two sisters, Lois Thrasher and Agnes Hinds.
Visitation will be one hour before the 11 a.m. Celebration of Bernice's Life on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. Rev. Bill McCall will officiate. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
