

After graduating from Pelham High School in 2002, she earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems Management in 2006 from Auburn University, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
Bethany was employed by Corporate Services Inc. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as a computer programmer.
She never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.
Bethany was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emmett McKinley Harcrow, Jimmy Wood Coleman, Edmon L. Mapp, Selba A. Shipley, and Arvel A. Shipley.
Survivors include Bethany's husband of two years, Matthew; her parents, Jimmy Wood Coleman Jr. and Betty Ann Harcrow Coleman; one brother, Jimmy Wood "Trae" Coleman III; one sister, Adriann Lane Coleman; and grandmothers, Mary Magdalene Harcrow, and Florence M. Coleman; father- and mother-in-law, Martin and Tara Mapp; and grandmother-in-law, Evelyn Mapp. Other survivors include Bethany's beloved Golden Retriever, Molly Ann, and her cat, Binx.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road in Pelham. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Christ Church United Methodist Church in Birmingham with Pastor Paul Lawler officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
The family welcomes flowers, but memorial gifts may be made to your local Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
