Coach Yancey and family.  I has Mrs. Yancey's class for Health while a student at K. J. Clark.  Her lessons were never without a little humor and I will never forget some of those lessons she conveyed.   She will be one of my favorite teachers always.  I include those college professors as well as elementary through high school in this list of favorites. I will never forget Mrs. Yancy from K.J. Clark...one of the sweetest ladies, beautiful and I enjoyed having her for P.E. for 7th grade..I send my sympathy to her loving family and friends..she will be missed, but always remembered for every one who had the honor of knowing her..May God Bless each of you..

My most sincere condolences to both the Yancey and Lawler Families in the loss of Mrs. Betty Yancy. She was my 9th grade gym teacher at K. J. Clark Junior High School many years ago. I was fortunate enough to have been able to see her in May 2011 when we were both guests of the Vigor High School Class of 1961 50th reunion. May she now rest in peace and may God grant the courage, strength and fortitude to her family as they go through this difficult time. God bless!

Dear Yancey and Lawler Families and Glen, Ricky Ronnie, Raymond, and Randy: I am sorry for the loss of your loved one. Sarah Berhardt wrote: "Life begets life. Energy creates energy. It is by spending oneself that one becomes rich." This is how I think of and will remember Betty Ann. I pray for comfort of your hearts as we will miss our dear Betty Ann.

I remember when she came to Montevallo High School to teach. She took us to Six Flags Over Georgia in the spring. She chartered buses on two separate weekends. She also took a group of girls out west in the summer. She opened the world to many of us.

My condolences to the entire Yancey family. I attended  Montevallo High with Ricky and Ronnie and she was my PE teacher. She was more than that with her smile and attitude. I will never forget her! May God Bless you all and remember she is in our Fathers arms. Praise God!
