Bobby Daniel Lindsey

Bob was born on July 5, 1943, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and was the oldest of 3 children born to Wesley Lee Lindsey and Mary Lou Lindsey. He is survived by his wife, Kay Pearson Lindsey, and sons, Greg Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, Brad Johnson, and Scott Johnson, along with 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Bob grew up in Bessemer, Alabama, and was a graduate of Bessemer High School, and the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Bob proudly served as an employee of Children’s Hospital of Alabama for 34 years, where he retired as the Director of Respiratory Therapy. Bob was a gentle and lighthearted soul, who was deeply admired by everyone, and touched the lives of countless children during his career. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as being outdoors, where he was an avid hunter. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham.

A funeral service will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob’s honor to the Amanda Stein Fund (for Respiratory Therapy) at Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
