"Brad" loved his family and friends dearly. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He brought people together.
Brad was an accomplished songwriter and musician, hiker, and avid rock climber. He loved being outdoors, writing poetry and short stories, and fishing.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Maynard and June Gardner. Survivors include Brad's parents, Don and Roxanne Gardner; one sister, Amanda Gardner; and maternal grandparents, Carl and JoAnne Dukes.
Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Celebration of Brad's Life at 5 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org) or Hand in Paw (www.handinpaw.org).
