

Charles worked at Griffin Wheel for nine years and also owned/operated a full service station for 30 years at various locations in the area, including an 18-year tenure of Hart's Gulf in Mountain Brook Village.
A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, Charles was a member of the Argo (Alabama) Assembly of God Church for 19 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Faye and Burie Hart; three sisters, Mary Alice Hudson, Frances Scofield Courtney, and Sallie Barnes; six brothers, Ralph Hart, Harold Hart, Johnny Hart, Millard Hart, Rufus Hart, and Clint Hart; and three grandchildren, Elliot Hart, Fallon Hart, and Madison Hart.
Survivors include Charles' wife of 66 years, Mildred Katherine Hart; two daughters, Rhonda Renae Mosley and Melissa Diane Childers (Todd); three sons, Charles Richard Hart, Gary Steven Hart (Elizabeth), and Martyn Neal Hart (Marsha); grandchildren, Regina Swartz, Rick Hart, Vanessa Sharp (Chris), Shelli Hart, Chris Mosley, Blake Mosley (Laura), Miranda Hart, Peyton Gray, Kristen Brown (Matthan), and Morgan Hipps (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Megan Swartz, Kelton Hart (Kennedy), Emily Sharp, Preston Mosley, Ella Mosley, Jaden Mosley, Alex Mosley, Adlai Brown, and one great-grandchild on the way; one great-great-grandchild, Khloie Hart; and one sister, Gracie Nell Gillman.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Celebration of Charles Hart's Life at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Pastor Lawrence Prince will officiate.
