Cynthia Whalen

She was born in Kentucky on September 20, 1946 to parents, Ed and Lola McHone.

Cynthia (McHone) Whalen graduated from Springboro High School in Springboro, Ohio. She lived in many different states before settling down in Cleveland, Ohio. On September 25, 1992, she married Terry Whalen; they enjoyed 32 beautiful years together.

Cynthia had a life-long career in real estate that spans more than 40 years in Ohio, Texas, and California.

Cindy’s passion was her family. She cherished every visit with her grandchildren and cooked every holiday meal for her family and more. She and Terry were both adventurers who loved to travel. They especially loved visiting Ireland and cruising to the Islands. While at home, she loved doing home improvements.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Terry Whalen; her daughter Michelle (Glenn Wright), granddaughter, Savannah Loest (Gary), great granddaughters, Harper and Emerson, and granddaughter, Lauren Holt (John); daughter, Robin (Boris Bogdanich), granddaughters, Marina King (Sands), and Anna; step-son, Michael Whalen (Kim), grandchildren, Megan Margaret and Jack; step-daughter, Jeanne Sterling (Jeff), and grandchildren Paige and Fisher; step-daughter, Kathleen Crowley (Wes), and grandsons, James and Ryan; step-daughter, Kristin Whalen (Joe Petitto); siblings, Irene McHone, Kenny McHone (Bev), Paul McHone (Sandy), Debbie McHone, and Eddie McHone (Juanita); and many nieces, and nephews

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Cemetery in Wade Chapel, address 12316 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106. A luncheon will follow after family gravesite at Glidden House, address 1901 Ford Dr, Cleveland, OH 44106.
