Dale attended the University of South Alabama and the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He worked for the Drummond Company for 32 years.
Dale married the former Sonja Lee Reed on March 26, 1982. In addition to Sonja, survivors include two children, Samantha (Rob) Dial and Roger (Rachel) Wescott; three grandchildren, Lilly Lyn Dial, Ryan Wescott, and Jasmine Dial; one sister, Marva Wescott (Jim Witter); and one brother, Gary Wescott.
The family will celebrate Dale's life with friends at a memorial reception from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Oak Grove First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
