With sad hearts we announce that Danny Wayne Perry passed from this life. Danny lived a full and wonderful life and was kind to everyone. Confident of Jesus' promise of eternal life to all who believe in Him, Danny left this earth with nothing to fear.
Danny is a native of Winfield, AL before attending The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He was drafted into the army October 1958. Following active and reserve duty he joined the ranks of the retired military with the rank of E9 Sergeant Major.
Danny is survived by his loving wife of 65 years - Norma Gene Turner Perry, sister - Priscilla Perry Bradley (Harvey), brother - John Fletcher Perry II (Annette), children - Kenneth Wayne Perry (Kimberly) and Jeanette Perry Prestel (John); grandchildren – Christopher Travis Perry, Kaylee Kristen Perry, Jessica Prestel Richardson (John), and James Daniel Prestel; great-grandchildren – Jesse Jones-Perry, Laura Ann Richardson, Hannah Kate Richardson, and many nieces and nephews.
Danny is predeceased by his father and mother – John Fletcher Perry and Velma Threadgill Perry, his brother – James “Jim” Loren Perry, and his daughter – Patricia Lynne Perry.
Danny will be remembered for his kindness, but mostly that he never stopped telling folks how lucky he was to be married to Norma Gene - Married August 29, 1958.
