MIKE WAS AN UNFORGETABLE PERSON, MOSTLY BECAUSE HE WAS SO FULL OF JOY AND LAUGHTER .  MY FIRST CONVERSATION WITH HIM WAS ON THE PHONE AND I COULD NOT TRULY IMAGINE HOW MUCH LAUGHTER HE BROUGHT TO MY LIFE WITH THAT FIRST PHONE CONVERSATION, BEFORE HE BECAME MY BROTHER-IN-LAW.
HE WAS AMAZING AND SEEMED TO LOVE LIFE LIKE NO ONE I 
HAD EVER KNOWN.
GOD SPEED, MIKE, YOU WILL BE MISSED.

I didn’t spend a lot of time around Mike, but he made a lasting impression on me. Mike loved his wife, Patsy, who loved him and cared for him. He loved his children, his country, the Marine Corps, his dogs, country music, and nice things. Mike was an honorable man who kept his commitments. Mike was cheerful and happy. He was also a very considerate man who thought of others and enjoyed giving. May God give rest to his soul and comfort his loved ones. 🇺🇸

Mike and I roomed together in college and have been friends ever since. I rarely thought of Mike as blind, as he maneuvered through life as if he had no disability at all. I never heard him complain or see him depressed. In fact, he was he was the exact opposite. Mike was a true patriot who loved his country deeply. But his greatest love was the love he had for his family. Mike was a dear friend and I will miss him greatly.
