Desma Jay Rymer Foster, 47, of Chelsea, Alabama lost her battle with cancer on Friday morning, January 4, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Tim Foster; son, Shannon Foster; daughter, Sharon Foster; and sister, Denise Alexander. Desma's favorite activities were playing tennis at Pelham Racquet Club and spending time with family. She worked for the Chelsea Post Office as a mail carrier for the past eight years. Desma was a wonderful wife, mom, sister, and friend and will be terribly missed. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The chapel service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham, and burial will follow in Leach Cemetery in Calera, Alabama.
