Don Collins, 51 of Birmingham, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Don graduated from Mountain Brook High School and attended the University of Alabama. He loved being with his family, countless friends, and his dog. He enjoyed being outdoors anytime, particularly the beach at the Gulf, the Cahaba River, and Alabama football.
Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Collins; brother-in-law, Tory Herring; and niece, Lamar Herring. He is survived by his mother, Hannah Collins; daughter, Mary Carson Collins; brother, Clay Collins (Mary); sisters, Casey Stephens (Craig) and Cindy Herring; nephews, Shane Herring (Lindsey), Phillip Como and Cole Stephens; and nieces, Meg Collins, Kate Collins and Hannah Como.
The celebration of Don’s life will be at 4pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church (off Montevallo Road). In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to either American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Foundation.
