Doug Holtzman, 52 of Alabaster, AL, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Doug was an avid Alabama football fan. He enjoyed activities including fishing, softball and going to the beach. Doug adored his family, and was always the light of a room. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Holtzman is survived by his sons, Richard Holtzman (Cherstin) and Jared Holtzman; daughter, Linsey Holtzman; parents, Bob and Nadine Holtzman; grandchildren, Nevaeh Holtzman, Aidan Holtzman and Caleb Holtzman; brother, Chuck Holtzman (Kelly); sister, Bobbi Brown; nephews, Chase Holtzman, Chad Holtzman, Luke Lawyer and Jason Johnson; nieces, Lacey Lawyer, Angel Johnson, Katie Holtzman, and Chelsea Holtzman; and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
The celebration of Doug’s life will be at 2pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with burial following at Southern Heritage Cemetery. Pastor Rick Bishop will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the funeral home.
