Doug was born on July 10, 1961 to John Doran and Dorothy Mae Hall in
Birmingham, AL . Doug graduated from Shades Valley High School. He then
went on to marry Gina Caldwell on August 16th, 1980.
Doug is survived by his wife, Gina, of 41 years, his three children, Jessica,
Vanessa, and Stephanie, as well as his three grandchildren, Benjamin, Zoey,
and Jamie. He is also survived by three siblings, Debra, Donny, and Jan. He is
preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and John, and brothers David and
Jimmy.
Doug was a lifelong truck driver, working as one since the age of 21. He worked hard and loved harder. Doug will be remembered for being a dedicated father, a devoted follower of Christ, and a bit of a goofball that always knew how to make everyone laugh.
A memorial service for Doug will be held at Rocky Ridge Cumberland
Presbyterian Church on Friday, November 19th at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rocky Ridge Cumberland
Presbyterian Church, which became Doug’s second home later in his life.
