Elizabeth Skidmore

Born in Nasvhile, TN, to Woulcie W. Crowell and Gladys Handley Crowell. She is survived by her sister Shirley Mitchell and husband Wm. Mitchell; son Michael Skidmore and wife Sylvia with his daughter Erin Vineyard, husband Michael, and their child Emily; daughter Sharyn Gaston and her husband Don and daughters Reagan with husband Clay Johnson and children Mollie and Tyler; Lacey Phillips with husband Curt and child Addison; daughter Susann Bouchillon with son Lance Stubblefield and wife Maruska and children Sasha, Liam, Maya, Leonidas.

Elizabeth, Betty to family and friends, was born in 1925, graduated Peabody College in Nashville, TN; now known as Vanderbilt. Betty’s work career took her in many directions including teaching, owning a furniture store, politics, acting, and singing, but was she most remembered as the interior decorator for Rich’s in Birmingham.

Grandma Betty and Oma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren was loved by her family and friends. She was known for her cheerful and comical demeanor and will be missed on earth. She is now whole once more and home with the Lord she so loved.
