She graduated from Pelham High School before completing college courses to become a nursing assistant and a certified phlebotomy technician. Her favorite pastimes included caring for elderly people and animals.
Emily was predeceased by her mother, Beth Florence, and is survived by her father and step-mother, Ricky and Joy Florence; sister, Karen Florence Broadwater and her husband J.D.; step-brother, Scott Russell; aunt, Carol Florence Hurst and her husband Kim; uncles, Billy Conner and his wife Terri, and Steve Florence; and many other loving family members and friends.
The family will greet friends from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by A Memorial Celebration of Emily's Life at 3 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel.
